I studied chemistry because I wanted to understand how things work at their core. Turns out, marketing isn't that different. Find the right formula, and the reaction is inevitable.
Karla Ayala is proof that the best B2B marketers aren't born in marketing departments — they're forged in the field.
She started as a Chemical Engineer. She learned to think in reactions, ratios, and results. She learned that in industrial environments, precision isn't optional — it's survival. Then she took that mindset and applied it to something most engineers never touch: marketing strategy. And the combination turned out to be explosive.
With 10+ years of experience in B2B sales and marketing in the industrial sector, Karla spent nearly eight years at Grupo Pochteca — one of México's largest specialty chemical distributors — where she managed strategic product portfolios, launched a B2B2C household product line from zero, and built commercial relationships with some of the most demanding clients in the country: Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Hershey, Cervecería Modelo, José Cuervo. Not warm leads. Not easy wins. High-stakes industrial accounts that require deep technical knowledge and elite commercial execution.
At SWM, she leads content strategy and B2B sales systems — with a particular focus on manufacturing, maquiladoras, and the Mexican and North American markets. She's the one who takes complex industrial expertise and turns it into content that decision-makers actually read, share, and act on. She designs the content engines that convert technical authority into commercial demand.
She speaks engineer and marketer fluently — and she uses both languages to build systems that generate pipeline at scale.
